Camouflage® – Biomimicry at its Best
A perfect masking: Hemoteqs proprietary Camouflage® has been designed to perfectly mimic the natural interface between blood and vessel – a tiny layer of biomolecules called glycocalix. Camouflage® forms an ultra-thin “magic cap” on the surface of temporary diagnostic and interventional devices as well as permanent vascular implants such as stents and grafts. Hemocompatible Surfaces
The development of hemocompatible surfaces was a starting point for the foundation of Hemoteq and represents a core competency of the company. Device surfaces in contact with blood represent a critical interface due to their complex interactions with the patient's coagulation system. Hemocompatible enhancements can reduce the thrombogenicity of foreign surfaces and thereby help avoid potentially life-threatening thrombotic and thromboembolic events. Such surface modifications are applicable to permanent vascular implants, e.g. stents, grafts or pacemaker leads and interventional or diagnostic devices with temporary exposure to blood, like catheters, port systems and guidewires.

 Repulsion®, our biodegradable drug release coating, is based on highly biocompatible, biodegradable polymers that can accommodate a wide range of hydrophobic, amphiphilic and hydrophilic drugs.
Repulsion® was designed to serve as a customizable platform for drug eluting vascular implants such as coronary stents, or to prevent encapsulation of implantable biosensors.
